Mothers being mothers love to groom their daughters and girls being girls love getting all decked up. When it comes to dressing your princess, you want her to look gorgeous and properly attired for the occasion. Here, we suggest some tips which will help you in dressing up your darling in her finest.

For birthday party:   Little girls look lovely and adorable in pretty frocks. Various adornments like soft and flimsy fabric, bold and striking colours, fancy detailing like lace, net, bow, sequins, glitter etc. adds charm to this outfit and make it perfect for formal birthday parties. A shimmery sandals and a headband will complete the look. But make sure the whole ensemble should be lightweight to carry around freely and the fabric should not feel itchy against the child’s body. Little older girls, say aged 4-8, might find it difficult to play around with fluffy frocks; for them a pair of jeans or capris teamed with a fancy t-shirt will look chic and well-coordinated.

For outdoor/ family get-together and casual parties: A relaxed and free-spirited mood goes well on such occasions and to achieve the same  a pair of leggings , jeans ,capris or skirts teamed with a sleeveless shirt or a t-shirt will work best. The choices in girl’s top are endless; you can pick printed ones with stylish cuts and striking necklines or a simple top can be played up by wearing a sequined denim jacket.

Baby girls can be dressed in a bodysuit, dungaree or tunics other than the usual frock. To give an extra edge, their clothes should have floral prints, polka dots or small animal appliques on them. Adding accessories like tights, soft-sole shoes and sandals, headbands, bows, belts etc. will make people go ooh and aah over your stylish baby.

For weddings and festivities: Our Indian weddings and festivals calls for ethnic appearance. Besides ghagra-choli and chudidar set;  ready-made sarees are  very much in vogue these days. Ethnic  attire with lots of embroidery and shimmer blends traditional with the contemporary style very smoothly. Long and flowy gowns on which lots of handwork is visible, is another option you might want to consider while dressing your daughter for weddings.

An outfit for special occasion should have at least one unique feature which can instantly bring up its style quotient. A simple skirt and top will look striking if the top has peplum cut, bold flower pattern around the neckline or on bodice will make an otherwise plain looking frock heavenly, a big bow around the waist and netted layers for extra volume adds flair to the dress. Similarly, decorative features like   big and bright coloured buttons or glitter can enhance the casual look of a t-shirt. To ooze little more style, accessorize appropriately with the outfit, the whole effect will be dramatic and rest assured, lots of compliments will come in your child’s way.
